surviven6802: Radio is the software for telephony; e.g what makes the device a phone and not just a PDA. Typically there is a version dependency so if you update the main image you will need to flash a corresponding Radio firmware as well.

Thanks too jesusfreke I have a modded G1 running cupcake 1.5 big ups to him. I have a question for someone who can answer a question about the cupcake firmware. What does Radio do or help with?, And how can I tell if it is working properly. Your answer will be highly appreciated.
