Is it just me or do most of the apps in the market place look like a third grader made them? Ive been looking for a good calendar app and widget and they all look like hell on my droid! Ive had my Droid for just over a week and I’m still trying to find quality apps with no luck. I think the market place needs an overhaul.

there are too many new applications being launched in android market off late. The customers are really spoilt for the choice but who’s complaining. More the merrier.

But android has opened possibility of a whole new world of mobility and also turned fortune for samsung as a mobile handset manufacturer.

Check Free SMS (RefineAndroid):
- worldwide;
- several providers (a huge number of countries and carriers/operators);
- with replies (for USA/Canada);
- it’s free for the SMS recipient. Some providers do charge for receiving SMS if the recipient sends a confirmation SMS;
- history (removable).

Providers add minor ad block at the end of SMS messages.

Try Kaloer Clock. The size of the application is heftier, but for that you get features like automatic start on plugin options, different viewing modes and different style and colored skins. It also comes with options for viewing in 24-hour mode and including the day, as well as displaying battery, alarm and SMS notification icons. Those are my two cents.
