I think my question was misinterpreted. I can still open and deal w/.zip files via ASTRO, but the browser won’t actually download them anymore. I used to be able to download quite large files to my SD card via the standard browser, but now it says the content is not supported. Is this something that happened to the browser?

Or did your answer mean that by installing Linda File Manager it would give my browser access to download .zip files?

The download issues are well known with the Android market and they are working to resolve them

Any time I have a download “get stuck”, I just cancel the download and start it over. Try this a couple of times and see if it goes through.

That sounds about right and would explain why several people reported getting the update. I think the devs need more time to get their apps updated. T-Mobile doesn’t want a bunch of people calling in for help because their favorite app is not working or whatever else.

I spoke to a UK TMo rep yesterday, who told me that cupcake was rolled out on april 30th to 1000 random phones for a trial period. She said that most likely in around a month, or when they have enough feedback that they will roll it out to everyone else. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a regional rollout or if they randomly updated 1000 or more each day to keep their servers free as its about 40mb to download.

ok do you really need to gamble from your phone? if so, I suggest check your self in to a clinic for gambling. now if its just game to emulate gambling that’s fine with me.

Yes I am a registered as a developer with Android and also on some separate Google PR lists. I have received no official confirmation from anyone. You would expect some kind of email sent out to all of the devs before it is released.

I was particularly surprised by news of T-Mobile rolling out 1.5 sinse there was practically no lead time given to developers. We were given about a week of preview of the SDK before the SDK was released and only days after that we started seeing reports of T-Mobile rolling out updates. I, for one, was pretty irritated as a developer.
