Since starting this site, we have had the pleasure to become friends with many Android developers. We know it can be tough to get noticed sometimes and we are happy to use this platform to give others a voice. Mr. Clarklab is still working on our new site, but we plan to offer expanded areas for developers to interact with the community.
One specific feature I’d like to add is a mini job board. We have a lot of independent developers floating around and I think it would be a good opportunity for some coders and designers to team up. In the mean time, you can always post to our forums if you are looking to reach a hardcore Android audience. We are still tweaking the system, but we have quickly approached 1k users and get several thousand visits per day.
The following message is from our friends at AppRanch. They are looking for several Android developers to work on games for children. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, visit their site and drop them a line.
AppRanch is an iPhone/Android app startup, based in Dripping Springs, TX. We are currently developing several iPhone/Android apps, and will release our first title, Critter Race(tm) to the iPhone market next month (Android version to follow, also in Sep). Our initial focus is on children’s games, with an emphasis on simplicity. Our applications are clean, cute, and uncluttered, and they perform as the user expects them to. We pride ourselves on leveraging the best practices associated with the content creation, design, architecture, development, testing and delivery of our apps.
