We have noticed in our monthly top selling Android apps that home replacement programs have lost their favor. Users have complained about speed, lack of widget support, and constant crashes.
I once had Open Home, dxTop, and aHome all installed at once, but I have removed them one by one for the same complaints. The only home replacement app I have continued to be interested in is Sweeter Home. Some of our readers might remember our home screen contest which featured many Sweeter Home creations. The app remains free and offers levels of customizations that are unmatched.
Sweeter Home has been in beta forever, but they are finally nearing the release of Preview 2. Lemon from Sweeter Home Skins has an early release of Preview 2 and posted a series of videos that demonstrate the new features and improved stability.
