Motorola’s new Android phone (Cliq) and custom user interface (MotoBlur) were generally well received at the Mobilize 09 event. People liked the sold build of the Cliq and the social networking features of MotoBlur. However, many were confused by the keynote speech of Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha. During his presentation, they displayed the new Android phone on the screen with a logo that said MotoBlur. Eventually, Mr. Jha said the new phone was called the Cliq, but this was not displayed on the screen and people did not know how to spell it. To make things even more confusing, the Cliq was shown again with the title Dext, which is the overseas name for the phone.
I thought the presentation went well, but it did lack the intensity we have seen with Apple product launches. Watch the replay of the keynote below and let us know your thoughts.

Sanjay spoke well and didn’t stumble, but he seemed to be in a hurry, almost like he was anxious to get off the stage. What’s the rush? Didn’t he have a captive audience?
And, why didn’t he show a live demonstration rather than a canned presentation? I mean, actually use the damn phone!
Some people just aren’t good speakers…
Yeah the presentation was really good but as you say he was in a bit of a hurry… maybe he was on the way to a meeting with a Wireless Carrier that wants he new phones
