We have touched on doubleTwist months ago and I still think it’s one of the best desktop software for syncing media with your Android phone. They have continued to release new versions of their client that support more devices, add new features, and improve performance.
I like using doubleTwist to easily convert any video format so that it will play on my Android phone. It is seriously is one of the easiest programs to use I have come across. Just plug your phone in and begin syncing pictures, videos, and music in seconds.
If you are in need of a media syncing tool for your phone, visit the doubleTwist site and give it a try. They currently have clients for XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Mac. Verizon customers will also be happy to hear that the latest versions will support the Motorola Droid.
The latest update includes:
- Brought back the ability to drag media from your device into your local library.
- Added read-only support for the iPod and iPhone. You can copy from your iPod/iPhone to your library.
- Support for the new Motorola CLIQ and Motorola Droid.
- Support for the Palm Pixi.
Be on the lookout for even more updates because support for the Amazon music store is coming soon.

Hi Taylor,
Yesterday’s update which includes Droid support was only for the Mac OS X version of doubleTwist. There will be an update next week to the Windows version.
Also, the Mac version already has the integrated music store. The store is also coming soon on Windows (not in next week’s update though).
We’re also planning on adding support for the new Samsung Moment Android phone.

I’m looking forward to that update for Moment, seeing how mine arrives tomorrow that is.
Is there still a doubletwist version I can use with tiger mac os 10.4? I would like to use this for my Motorola Droid phone, but do not want to upgrade my mac os. Thanks! h
Yep, I got it for my Moto Droid and it absolutely rocks. I’d definitely recommend DoubtTwist.
