After months of waiting, customers can finally pre-order an Android netbook from Acer. Amazon.com is currently offering the Acer AOD250-1613 for $349.99.
I’ve been waiting to buy a netbook for a long time and this looks like it will be my first purchase. The Acer Aspire dual boots Android and Windows XP so users can quickly jump back and forth between different operating systems.
This netbook will make the perfect companion for any user with an Android phone. On our recent trip to California, we had Clark’s netbook tethered to his T-Mobile myTouch 3G and it saved the day multiple times.

I would love to have one but all of my tech cash will be going towards two new Android phones once Verizon opens the flood gates. I can’t wait till the kids are old enough to want the same things I do for Christmas.

I hope this version use all the disk space , becasu the archos 5 is having problems with this only using few MBs
I’d like to see a review of how well Android works in this form factor. Too bad the screen isn’t multitouch, but I bet that would raise the price significantly. Might be something to consider when comparing the Cliq to this.
Only 1 gig of ram hurts but everything else is decent, plus I would rather have win7 preloaded. Any iffo on what build of android it has and if it has google software?
Two things bother me about this.

If Android works well on a netbook, we can see it competing neck to neck in the tablet market with Windows and Mac.
But then I’m thinking what about gOS?

I’m sorry, but Android on a netbook doesn’t even make sense to me. It’s absolutely incredible for a phone, and many other things, but a netbook? Come on. That’s what Ubuntu is for
The question is why would you want any netbook with the same old specs?
