The Android and You Video Contest is a way to share your favorite Android apps, games & widgets with your fellow Android fans. Entering is simple: shoot a quick video demoing an app, game, or widget you can’t live without. With a huge influx of new users on the way (from the various new handsets making their way into the market) we thought now would be a perfect time to create a collection of videos showing off Android’s most useful apps.
Below is a kickoff video showing the prizes up for grab and an example of the kind of video you can make to enter. You can follow my format (just show off the app) or really let your imagination run wild (shout your favorite app at us, spoof a popular commercial, test out your terrible new accents, you get the picture).
Rules
To enter the contest, all you need to do is submit a video showing off something you love about Android. It can be your favorite app, a game you can’t stop playing, a widget you can’t stop staring at, an app you are currently developing, anything you feel is worthy to share. You can put the video on YouTube, Vimeo, or your own blog, just make sure to leave us a comment linking your video on THIS POST to ensure we see it. While we’ll be keeping an eye on the social video sites and twitter for entries, your best bet is to leave a comment here.
The contest will be open for one week. Feel free to submit more than one video (just don’t go too nuts on us). Please only submit videos created for this contest. To ensure your video is fresh you should mention this contest in your video. We don’t want your six month old recycled videos. We’ll announce the winner next Tuesday.
Prizes
The winner will receive an Android t-shirt and the newest MicroSDHC card and reader from Kingston. The shirt is one of the special editions, printed in white and only one of five in existence (only one in each size, S-2XL). We won’t be printing these exact shirts again so once we give out these few tees they’ll be gone forever.
Along with your tee you’ll get some great new mobile products from Kingston. At MobileFocus in San Diego, I spoke with the guys from Kingston and they were nice enough to give us a brand new 16GB MicroSDHC card (along with the MiniSD, SD, and USB adapter) and the new MobileLite G2 card reader. This little guy can read almost anything you throw at it (SD, SDHC, MicroSD, MicroSDHC, MSDP, M2) and is about the size of a box of matches.

Yea, the video can be about anything Android really, as long as its filmed fresh for this competition.
