Meet the Motorola Calgary for Verizon

Verizon is launching the Motorola Droid (Sholes) in November and a second Motorola Android phone is coming soon after. BoyGeniusReport has leaked new pictures of the Motorola Calgary. The new device features MotoBlur and it appears to be aimed at the mid-level market while the Motorola Droid targets the high end. No CPU specs are available yet, so it is hard to determine exactly where this device will fall.

BGR is claiming Verizon might ship the device in Q4 2009, but I would be surprised if it arrived before Christmas. Motorola has repeatedly stated they would have 2 Android devices this holiday season and we already have the T-Mobile Cliq and the Verizon Droid.

Man I want that Keypad on the Droid. I like that keypad a lot. The one it looks like the Droid is going to have I think will be harder for me to use. I want bubble buttons not flat squares.

I just can’t wait to get my hands on a new Android device. With each passing day my G1 feels like an old and busted piece of crap.
