An old rumor we posted back in August appears to be coming true. Dial-a-Phone has leaked a Motorola roadmap which includes a Sholes Tablet slated for Q1 2010. The device is expected to be an upgraded version of the original Sholes minus the keyboard. Our source claimed months ago that the device would feature an 8 megapixel camera and it looks like he was right.
We were also told the phone would support UMTS/W-CDMA and was most likely headed to AT&T. I have yet to see any other sites report this, but it looks like our tipster has direct knowledge of the unannounced hardware.
It is also interesting to note that his roadmap has the original Sholes still slated for an October 2009 release. The next two weeks should be quite entertaining for Verizon customers waiting on the phone.

I’d say from the fact that the money up the Y axis is in pounds that this is an English roadmap. Which means Sholes IS coming to Europe if it’s correct. And in the last quarter of this year.
Good news all round for me.
I THINK you mean Q1 2010; Q1 2009 would have been a while back, no?
Right, AT&T is going to release a 3.7 inch full touchscreen device that isn’t an iPhone.
Say hi to T-Mobile.
The resolution on the tablet disappoints me. Bad Bad Bad. It’s a completely pointless device if it lacks a camera in both the front and back. 3.7? Really? You can’t beat the Kindle with 3.7. Did I criticize enough yet?
I wish Moto all the best. XOXO
