Last night I saw the the ADC2 judging app had an update and thought it might be time for round 2. Earlier today, several developers let me know their apps had been selected in the top 20 for their respective category. We have heard word of success from Chickenbrick Studios with ProjectInf, Battery Powered Games with Light Racer 3D, A0Soft with aPortaDrum, and Todoroo.
The following is a sample email that Google is sending out.
Congratulations! Your application ‘Todoroo’ was selected by Android users as one of the top 20 in the Lifestyle category! We’re excited that you chose to participate in the ADC 2 and wish you luck in the final round as your application is evaluated by users and a panel of judges.
For full information on the challenge, please see our official site: http://code.google.com/android/adc/
Thanks,
ADC 2 Support

Go vote
Search the market for ADC2 or scan the QR code above.
After installing the app, random applications are downloaded to your phone in order to let you review them. The voting application sends a message to your notification bar when an app is ready to be installed and another message reminding you to score the app.
Users score the applications in the following categories:
- Originality of concept
- Effective use of the Android platform
- Polish and appeal
- Indispensability
Round 2 judging is expected to end in November (estimated) so vote before time runs out. The first round ended abruptly so there is no telling how long the 2nd will last.
If you find an application or game you really love, leave a comment and let us know.

My app TouchMusic! didn’t make the cut. Oh Well better luck next year to me ….
Google posted the top 200 apps here – http://code.google.com/android/adc/adc2_top200.html
I’m rooting for Light Racer 3d to win first, If you haven’t tested it go do so now its a great game and the newer updated version is even better.
Our game K’UMPA made it:

Had to reinstall the ADC2 app to get it to notify me.
Now it Force Closes when I try to Install Manually my first app.
Having problems with the ADC2 app… Doesn’t start downloading and force closes in market. My Fiance is having the same issues. Arg!
I’m trying Office Exercise, it’s great so far!
ADC2 is having horrible force close issues. Check the comments in the market. I personally have tried reinstalling it 4 times now with no luck. My symptoms:
I install ADC2.
I get the notification of a new app to review.
I hit Install to install it.
It goes back to home screen but doesn’t install.
I open ADC2 and hit Install Manually.
It switches to what looks like the market and then com.android.vending force closes.
*FRUSTRATED*
i also had to uninstall and re-install ADC2 app
but now it works flawlessly.
