The last time we spoke with LG representatives (CTIA in San Diego), they had no Android phones to show us but hinted that we might see something at the upcoming CES. BGR is now reporting that a new LG Android phone, the LS680, has popped up in Sprint’s inventory system. Details of the phone are unknown, but people are already speculating what the device might be.
Sprint and Microsoft are hosting a big press event the day before CES which will be hosted by Dan Hesse and Steve Ballmer. LG and Sprint are also sending out invitations to a big party the following night. Depending on who you listen to, Sprint will announce their first 4G handset (WiMax) that will be built by LG and it will run Windows Mobile.
Some of you might also remember that Sprint told us their first 4G handset would run Android, so we will be following this event very closely. We are attending CES next week, so lookout for hands on reports.
