Yes the 1.6 version on the G1 has multitouch and so douse dolphin browser :)

Are you sure Dolphin Browser has multitouch?? Even on the G1??? haven’t noticed yet…

I’m pretty sure multitouch is in android 1.6. For example I’m running the Dolphen Browser on 1.6 and it supports multitouch.

So that means 68.7% of devices have support for multitouch.

Seriously? Have you ever even flashed an Android ROM?
You place a the zip on your sd, reboot and select it from the menu. I don’t see how that is any more complicated than flashing a WinMo ROM.

1.6 devices don’t have to be decreasing. If last time was 100 android 1.6, 90 android 1.5, and 40 eclair devices, while this time its 120 1.6, 110 1.5, and 70 2.0, then the percentage of 1.6 would go down despite more devices

Better thsan windows phones? You under estimate the skill of winmo chefs. All of which have roms that are, by my numbers 1000% easier to flash than android roms.

Where are you getting the million number from? We think there are about 1 million Droids so that would be about 5 million devices if these numbers are accurate.
