well, the important thing is that they did change their design and made it something unique and cool looking, even if it did take a c&d for them to do it

You make it sound like they deserve to win. All they did was imitate HTC’s amazing widgets; so unless they come up with something unique I don’t think they will stand a chance.

HTC has been sponsoring this since at least early December. What I would like to know is what is the HTC Hero Development Tool?

Oh, enough with the editorialization. Although I purchased Beautiful Widgets long before the legal fiasco, HTC had every right to protect its design by sending LevelUP a cease-and-desist.

I’d like to see LevelUP win the contest, as long as they put out something genuinely unique this time around. May the best entry win.

Personally, I’d like to have the time, weather, and an RSS ticker all in one gorgeous, well-designed widget (4×3?).
