Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 spawns a mini me

We are still waiting for the North American launch of the Xperia X10 superphone and now Sony Ericsson has unveiled a miniature version. Codenamed the Robyn, this new device will offer a “compact and clever” version of the X10. The phone will be available in four fun colors and feature a touch screen, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB connector, HSPA, and WLAN.

Hopefully this smaller version will offer a greatly reduced price vs. the rumored price of the Xperia X10.

That’s great and all, but how about they focus on releasing the X10 first. Not sure what to think of the Robyn, looks like first-gen to me.

Android 1.6 isn’t so bad on the Sony Ericsson X10, but with Android 2.1 and Multtouch the phone would be a lot better. So I am really looking forward to the update.
