Dude HTC scorpion looking sick. I might get an incredible right now though and cant wait to be amazed at the phones in 1 to 2 years. Rooting is really helping to keep the “older” android phones alive, update to date(some running 2.2), and having comparable speeds to the newer androids.

That Motorola X is looking sweet, but I am aching to know more about the HTC Scorpion.

Is there a GOOD user guide for understanding my HTC Hero better? What settings to use. What does so-and-so mean and do I need or want it? How to Root my phone? What does Rooting do? How can I install a different ROM like cyanogen? Can I uninstall cyanogen if I want my stock ROM back? What do I need to do to maintain my phone so it doesnt get slow or use up memory from something I never use or even plan to? I’ve been to the XDA website but there is just bits and pieces of the things I dont understand. Can anyone give me recommendations or let me know if there is a place that has answers to my questions in an easy to use format or guide? Thanks! –Dumbass in Des Moines

in what world do u live to where t-mobile will have the fastest network. sprint is the only carrier with 4g and is years ahead of the rest at&t, verizion and lastly t mobile. dont even talk about rate plans because $70 unlimited no other carrier can touch. get real and just go to sprint for the best in phones and service or wait a few more years for t-mobile to catch up….

I think it is great that there are so many options out there. The biggest being that I still have the G1 and yet have no phone to switch to. With TMobiles cost, soon fastest internet, AND ONE YEAR SMARTPHONE UPGRADES there is no way I’m switching carriers. And the phones out right now don’t fit what I’m looking for. I want a physical keyboard that feels like the g1. Even with swype I wouldnt want a non physical keyboard phone. Furthermore, I don’t want senseui or motoblur and I like being able to root my phone. Eventually a phone manufacturer will nail the phone I’m looking to get and I will upgrade. :)

the laptop/desktop market has been this way forever. Developers can do software that runs on different-specced PCs, why not phones ?

Hold off on N1 if you have any carrier other than T-Mobile. Mini 5 or Other ATT Androids may be more powerful since they have the time advantage.

I have my rooted G1 and I love it more than when I had it stock. I am content with what I have, it still kicks my gf’s Curve’s ass lol, but as more and more phones roll out, I’m thinking Im gonna wait another year, ’til my contract ends, to buy another phone, and it’s HIGHLY likely that it’s going to be an Andoird powered phone.
