I wouldn’t call this a superphone. It doesn’t look like a mind-numbingly pointless and contrived neologism to me.

It does, however, look like a very, very nice phone.

    • http://Website corrie

If i’m not mistaken, this is currently the fastest phone currently unveiled for now (basing on the specs) also in terms of WiMaX speed (4G) But apple has not yet release their big gun (iPhone 4G) yet, until summer. Same time, as the HTC Evo will be released. So I guess, its a bit early to tell which is which.

On a sidenote, I must say we’re impressed with this phone and this is way much better than the impressions about the HTC Supersonic.

I’m guessing this will set the standard for every smartphone, on 2010 and onwards. ( that it should be 4g ready and has 8MP cam!)

    • http://Website Daniel

Agreed. Can’t we put this stupid term to rest already?

The Nexus One better change its name to Nexus Has Been or Nexus Lose.

This is the true superphone. Look at the specs!!! and you get htc sense PLUS STOCK ANDROID 2.1.

Just so that people won’t pick on the lack of 3D gallery, you can just push the 3D gallery from the Nexus LOSE into this phone and it will work.

TOO BAD this is for Sprint and I’m on T-Mobile. I am still crossing my fingers for the Desire to come to T-Mobile.

Awww… sounds like someone is angwy that they couldn’t get theiw wittle hands on theiw own Nexus One.

Just to clear things up, it’s Android 2.1 with Sense UI, not Android 2.1 stock and Sense UI

rofl! and when the next version of Android has been pushed out by the time this thing launches, and everyone complains why their new Sense phone won’t be updated to the same version of the “boring” Nexus One, I’ll be rofling. I’ll also be rofling when I sell my contract-free Nexus One for whatever phone comes out during the holiday season. rofl!

Is that a phone or a digital photo frame? I remember holding a blackberry up to talk the first time and it felt awkward. Holding that up to your head is going to look really dumb and nerdy.

Hell, if you’re worried about it that much, use a head set…

You should look at the photos on Engadget.com . It’s about the same width and thickness as an iPhone and just a bit taller.

So, this phone looks great, but I’m wondering about two things:

    1. Sprint? Why not Verizon? I would never go to Sprint
    2. How about battery life? It’s nice to have all these features on a phone but the same problem holds with the Nokia N900…battery doesn’t last. I guess when people don’t declare it in the specs it means there will be a problem with that as in most new multimedia phones…

    • http://Website Gabi

What’s wrong with Sprint? Good coverage! Cheap prices! F’n awesome to me!

  • http://Website jb

The battery is a big concern, 1500mh, that is really small. Palm pre is 1250 and battery dies after just one hour of WiFi “hotspot” tethering. Not to mention the super power snapdragon and big screen running all the applications. Oh well, I may have to buy after market battery with a modified back plate to accomodate the bigger battery. Why can’t HTC just make a slightly bigger phone to accomodate us power business users. address user concerns and eliminate the problems, don’t skirt the issue (are you listening HTC?). PLEASE, don’t OBAMA us and ignor the public’s concerns?
