Motoblurry pics of the new mini Droid for Verizon

Several new blurry pics and a video have surfaced of a mysterious Android phone from Motorola that could be headed to Verizon. The unnamed device features a design similar to the Palm Pre, which includes a slide-out portrait QWERTY keyboard.

We don’t have any hard details of the device right now, but we can see it has the glowing red eye found in other Droid phones. Verizon has said they would reserve the Droid branding for their high-end Android phones, but it appears they might be changing that strategy. Given the overall size of this Motorola phone, we expect it will be targeted at the mid-range smartphone level.

Motorola has definitely raised the bar for entry-level Android phones (like their Charm and Flipout) so it will be interesting to see what they do with this device.
