Sprint launches Samsung Epic 4G promo site

Samsung’s Epic 4G still does not have an official release date, but Sprint  is hoping to appease some eager customers with a teaser site for the new handset.  The new site allows you to sign up for email updates on the Epic 4G while also giving you a glimpse of what the handset will have to offer.

Currently, the site shows off the Epic’s 720p video recording capabilities and the Swype on screen keyboard.  You’ll want to check back into the site if you want a glimpse of “unrivaled movie watching” and “ultimate game playing.”  The Epic 4G will be the third Galaxy S phone to hit the U.S. market this summer and will be the second 4G handset on Sprint’s network.  We’re a little curious as to how many EVO owners would be willing to give up Froyo for a few months in order to see how that Hummingbird processor really flies.

Dam your website is slow to news cycle. Very Very Very slow. More like DAYS behind any new developments. As a matter of fact you have not broke any news in the last few months of so.

  • http://Website UniqueNate

Maybe a little slow at posting it but they could of been came across the story. Nothing ground breaking has been out yet so does it matter? You can still come here to get good news. If you seem to have known about it already what does it matter to you?

I’m with Cyd, my gf stumbled on this last week. If you’re that late, why bother?

I’d have to disagree with some of the comments here. just because something isn’t new to you does not mean it’s not new to someone else. If they are trying to cover all the news, late news is better than never.

CNN and other major news sites post late news all the time. It’s still an event, it still happened, and the information is still relevant to everyone who has not heard it yet.

However, I do agree that the news cycle here has gotten a little slow. Sites like AndoidGuys and AndroidCentral always seem to beat them to the punch by a few hours. But I like the site. I like the community here and I’ll be sticking around for more news.

I think you misunderstand the definition of “news.”

I have some news for you. MS Windows 95 was released to much fanfare!!!

See, that is not recent, it was already known, therefore, it is not news.

I guess i’ll be the one to get things back on track here. I love the Epic and can’t wait for it to hit. I just picked up the EVO 4G 2 weeks back. it’s a great phone, but I’m not sure I’m sold on the size of this thing. It should be smaller than the EVO, but I’m thinking it’ll a lot thicker.

    • http://Website Presto117

It might be a little thicker, but I love the size of my Vibrant. To me, it feels just right in my hands while the HD2, EVO, and DROID X feel a tad to big, but that’s just me.

I was thinking if the estimated release date is august 20 then maybe there refrencing the features a week at a time with the unrivaled movie watching and ultimate game playing to how many weeks it is until the release date so next week or maybe some time this week they will move on to unrivaled movie watching then the week after that ultimate game playing and then the release of it

hell it makes since maybe even the two bowies have something to do with it just a thought though what does everyone else think
