AT&T and SCVNGR to offer in-store rewards in select markets

AT&T and SCVNGR today released a joint statement announcing a new way to get rewarded for doing SCVNGR challenges. You may remember our post earlier this month announcing SCVNGR’s partnership with Journey’s to bring real rewards to customers who use SCVNGR’s application while in Journey’s.

Starting today, AT&T customers at select locations in the Midwest can get in on the action. Customers will get store rewards for completing mini-challenges for points at their participating AT&T store. The point levels translate into the following prizes:

  • 2 points — Ringtone card
  • 5 points — 20% off any accessory
  • 15 points — $50 off Samsung Captivate

The challenges themselves are fairly simple: check-in to the store, attempt a social check-in, snap a picture of the Samsung Captivate, send your favorite ringtone, etc.  Once you’ve amassed 15 points (shouldn’t be too difficult), you’ll get a whopping $50 off the Captivate, bringing the total cost down to $149. This is a great new way to have a little fun while phone or accessory shopping, and managing to save you some dough in the process.

So if you live in the Midwest and have AT&T as your wireless service provider, head on over to your AT&T store, do a few challenges, and get some pretty awesome rewards.
