Android 2.2 for the HTC EVO 4G has officially landed! Don’t worry, there’s no six step process to manually download and install the update. Just go into your phones settings (menu > settings > system updates > firmware update) to see if it’s your turn to download the update.
Sprint and HTC will be staggering the downloaded so that their servers are not overwhelmed all at once. But if you’re not willing to wait a few days to get a taste of Froyo, try changing the date on your EVO. We bumped out handset’s date up by two weeks and immediately received a notification that a firmware update was available to download. The 84.4MB update took nearly an hour to download and roughly 10 minutes to install.
So how did the install process go for you? What’s your favorite new Froyo feature on the EVO 4G?
