U.S. Cellular says me too, also launching Samsung Galaxy Tab

To prove they can run with the big dogs, U.S. Cellular announced today that they will also be launching Samsung’s Galaxy Tab. As you may recall, U.S. Cellular was one of six carriers that launched the Galaxy S phone. So far every carrier with a Galaxy S has decided to launch the Galaxy Tab, except for regional carrier Cellular South.

Like I said a hundred times by now – I’m really excited about the Galaxy Tab and it’s the best Android tablet I have got my hands-on, but I’m still holding out for a WiFi-only version. Best Buy was rumored to be selling a 3G-less Tab, but now we are not so certain that will happen this year.

While I’m on the topic of U.S. Cellular, do we actually have any readers out their on their service? Either you guys are really quiet or maybe they just don’t read Android blogs.

I have US Cellular and I picked up the Mesmerize on the 26th. I’m not quiet, and I read the forums, there just hasn’t been a good android phone at US Cellular worth talking about, now there is, and I’m talking! :D

I just got Galaxy Tab ( after Galaxy Spica 2.1). It is much better than expectation. Workable with WIFI and Edge/3G.It came with universal charger, 30P-USB cable, stereo earpieces and microphone, table stand, car holder, sim for 2G/3G 120 hours/month for 12 months, Route66 navigator for 1 year. Not only 3.2MP camera w/ LED flash that can be programmed close to digital camera and video shooting using LED/Flash as spotlight??.For the price in Thailand at 733 US$, it is like getting its FREE. By putting it on the table you can use it as a telephone easily and hear it thru nice stereo speakers. Playback from YouTube is better than from PC. I would prefer this over;-
any mobile phone at any price, any tablets. I am trying to learn more about this Galaxy Tab, it is highly probable that I do not have to carry my laptop PC anymore. So much more about Galaxy Tab, I wish you could try it before buying anything else. Goodluck to all….

I’ve been with US Cellular for 18 years and waited impatiently for the Desire. Got it on the day it released and am soooooo pleased with it-it is truly amazing. I had the HTC Touch for nearly 2 years with the Windows Mobile and going to android was like breaking free. Only wish the Desire had more internal memory but hopefully 2.2 will fix that issue. Can’t wait for this Galaxy Tab, just hope they don’t require another $30 data plan on top of what I’m already paying for.

Sorry I didn’t mention how much I love your site, newsletter and rss and follow you on Twitter. I’m a 64 year old tech crazed lady that everyone calls with their tech question and problems so your site is awesome for me. Keep up the good work and thanks for all of it.

Also a long time US Cellular customer. Got the Desire the day it came out. Just saw that USCC posted on their Facebook site that Froyo updates are coming soon, hopefully November, but by the end of the year for sure (yea right!).

I can say that I am actually proud to be a USCC customer for the first time. They have always had second rate phones (i.e. my old HTC PPC6800 (Titan/Mogul)) and they were always so tight lipped. Now they are gettting good phones and being open with their communication on Facebook and also with the Belief project.

    I can’t wait for next year :).

So happy to have discovered this site. So many innovative phones to look forward to. I have been with T-Mobile for nine years and it sounds as tho’ they have some exciting ‘phones in the offing – and soon to come down the pike.

Wanted to enter your Contest for the Samsung Galaxy Web, but don’t see any reference to it here.
