Doodle Jump gets an update, on sale for $0.99 through 11/17

Popular platform jumping game Doodle Jump has gotten an update, bringing 4 new background themes (Christmas, Jungle, Space, and Night theme) along with bugfixes and performance enhancements.

This should come as welcome news to people who have already bought the $3.49 game, but what about those of you who haven’t checked out Doodle Jump yet? Is a couple of themes added to the mix enough to shell out three bucks for this game?

Well, it seems you won’t have to pay that much to get in on the action. Along with the update, Doodle Jump has lowered the purchase price to $0.99. At just under a buck, I’d highly encourage you to check out Doodle Jump if you haven’t already done so. You can always refund within 24 hours if you decide it’s not for you.

Still on the fence? Check out our review here.

Doodle Jump is available for Android 1.6+, and can now be found for $0.99 on the Android market.

Not worth it. I don’t support developers that don’t support the consumer. It shouldn’t be a $0.99 SALE price it should be a CHANGE in price.

Also it’s still worlds different from the iphone version, and at how long it took for this update to happen, there’s no promise that it’s going to be iphone quality anytime soon. It’s still has lag spurts on my nexus one, and it still feels like there’s more “friction” than there is on the iOS version. Really is sad when a good game is ruined by a bad port.
