Sharp’s 3D Android phones are coming to America in 2011

We didn’t expect glasses-free 3D phones to arrive in the United States till next summer, but we could seen them sooner thanks to Japanese manufacturer Sharp. No specific models were mentioned but Sharp has a pair of 3D phones going on sale this year in Japan and they announced they will expand to the United States, China, and India in 2011.

In addition to the 3D display, Sharp’s new phones can also capture pictures in 3D. We have also learned that Capcom, Konami, and Namco are working on 3D games for these new devices.

One of Sharp’s 3D models, the 003SH, was recently spotted on the FCC’s site, but there is no telling which carrier might launch the device. Which U.S. carrier would you like to see launch a 3D phone?
