Verizon Wireless just confirmed they will be showing off Android devices with 4G LTE support at next month’s CES on January 6th at their press event. This comes with little surprise as Verizon’s president Lowell McAdam recently said at CTIA in October that about a half-dozen smartphones and tablets would come to their LTE network in the first half of next year.

Possible Android devices that could land on Verizon’s LTE network include the HTC Mecha smartphone,  Motorola Etna smartphone, Motorola Everest/Stingray tablet, and maybe a version of the LG Star/Optimus 2X. Even though we could see several of these devices next month, the first LTE handsets are not expected to be in stores until February.

Verizon recently launched their LTE network in 38 markets and plans to expand that coverage next year.
