Need for Speed Shift coming to Android Market this year

Yesterday we learned Verizon had worked a deal with EA Mobile to include Madden NFL 11 on the Droid X, but it looks like the popular game developer might be ready to bring more titles to the Android Market soon.

One of our readers points out that the Nexus S features page says Need for Speed Shift will be available on the Android Market this year. The 3D racing game first appeared as an exclusive demo that was pre-installed on select phones, but it has been unavailable to purchase from the Market.

We don’t know if any other 3D games from EA Mobile will hit the Android Market, but it’s a good sign that they are willing to test the waters. Check out the video below for an idea of what to expect.

If you want to get really jealous then go browse EA Mobile’s iPhone games and let us know which ones you would like to see on Android. I’ll take High Caliber Hunting, EA Sports MMA, and NBA Elite 11.

[Thanks Dave for the tip]
