Zynga Poker released in Android Market

Good news for all you poker fans out in Android-land. Zynga’s incredibly popular Facebook Texas Hold ‘Em poker application has made its way onto the Android market today for all versions of Android.

Zynga Poker allows Android users to play Texas hold ‘em with up to 9 other players at an online poker table. Zynga uses your Facebook sign-in to log you into the system, and on initial look there doesn’t seem to be a way around this, so if you don’t have a Facebook account, you will need to create one before playing Zynga poker.

I played Zynga poker religiously on my iPod touch back before I owned an Android device (put away the pitchforks!), and it was a very solidly put together application. If the build quality on that version is any indicator, I fully expect the Zynga Poker application to be one of the (if not the) best hold ‘em applications on Android. If you’re into Texas hold ‘em, you owe it to yourself to give Zynga Poker a whirl.
