Verizon 4G is working again, but where is the Samsung Droid Charge?

Yesterday, upon waking up with the surprise that the HTC Thunderbolt was not so blazing fast, since the 4G LTE network was down, Verizon promised us that they would fix the problem soon. Verizon has been posting updates about the issue via their Twitter account, and this morning we have finally been informed that the network is back up and ready to go. Now that 4G is working and we can try to put that crazy day behind, where is the Samsung Droid Charge?

Verizon’s second 4G LTE smartphone, the Droid Charge, was scheduled for release today, along with the HTC Droid Incredible 2 and the Casio G’zOne Commando. The 3G devices are now up at Verizon’s website available for purchase (Hell, even the white iPhone is available), but there is still no word on the whereabouts of the Droid Charge.

The fact that the 3G devices are now available and the Droid Charge is not, leads us to believe that Verizon is delaying the Charge’s release date, most likely due to their 4G outage. Well off course, it would leave no good impression to walk up to a Verizon store, advertising the Droid Charge’s blazing 4G speeds, only to find out that the network is having issues, and the device is stuck in 3G data speeds (maybe even 1x).

Now that Verizon has announced that their 4G LTE network is working again, let’s hope that they will release the Samsung Droid Charge soon. Stay tuned for more details, and let us know what you think. Are you disappointed with Verizon? Happy to have 4G back? Where/are you planning to purchase this device?
