HTC Sensation 4G caught running around the streets!

The HTC Sensation has been… well, quite a sensation among T-Mobile fans (and even “outsiders”). HTC’s new flagship device has some of the best specs in the market, including a 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 768 MB of RAM, Android 2.3 “Gingerbread”, and an outstanding unibody design. Among other factors, these are some of the reasons why this device is highly desirable, and we know that you guys can’t wait to see more about it.

Well, one of TmoNews‘ trusted ninjas reported having this device in the wild, and has sent over some juicy images for you to drool over in the gallery.

As you can see, the picture does show the device with T-Mobile’s branding (phew!). This provides further proof that the Sensation is nearing the mass-production phase, and the release date is getting oh-so-close. Rumors state that the device will be arriving on June 8, which is just a couple weeks away! So hang in there, guys!

Even as a hughe HTC fan, I gotta say, don’t buy this. HTC signing the bootloader is complete nonsense. Whats really confusing is it wasn’t even carrier requested.

  Signed boot loaders aren’t the problem, the original EVO 4G had this, it’s the encrypted boot loader that’s the problem. From the leaked shipped ROM of the EVO 3D, it’s signed, but not encrypted. They’ll just fool the boot loader with an engineering build of some sort and you’ll gain all the access you need. No need to worry…..

    Are you 100% certain of this? I’ve read on other websites that the bootloader is similar to a Motorola…

Definitely sad to see HTC go the way of the locked/signed bootloader. My first two android devices were HTC – myTouch 3G and N1. I’m now onto the LG G2x because I refuse to give any company who doesn’t think the device I paid good $$ for is truly MINE to do whatever I please with. Of course it will never happen, but I’d love nothing more than to see a wide-spread HTC boycott….

Look it doesn’t matter if the bootloader is locked or not the htc sensation is still the best phone soon to hit the market. I’m getting the sensation on the drop date as soon as the store opens.

    Yeah in your world there maybe thousands that does care but in the real world there are MILLIONS that wont care. HTC is better than SAMSUNG AND MOTOROLA AND LG simple as that. The Sensation as well as the Evo 3d will be the best device on the market for the summer of 2011. Your not going to STEAL NOBODY’S DESIRE FOR THESE DEVICE….You just need to go buy else where HTC FANS WON’T

Whole bootloader main reason i went for the optimus 2x. (And the good price) stock Rom is bad but cynanogen is busy mixing it up!

It’s not really a hard decision. If you like to tinker with your phone, mod it, reflash it, root it, etc.. then there is no way in hell you should buy the Sensation.

If your content with the Sense UI, which has many of the features, if not better, than any custom rom, and you don’t plan on messing with the stock interface, then the Sensation is the phone for you.

Personally I wish HTC would let the consumer choose. But this is the choice they made so consumers will have to vote on how important this is to them by purchasing or not purchasing the phone.

  too true man. Thats pretty much the biggest debate i’ve been seeing from everyone. Personally im pretty pleased with what ive seen out of the Sense UI 3.0 and think it’ll be something worth having. However i can see why people would like to add their own ROM.
  
  My biggest factor is battery life and i’m hoping this sucker isn’t plagued like the thunderbolt

was watching some reviews/videos about this phone and i am even more convinced that i want the SGII…i was considering getting it and stop waiting for the SGII

I just got my Sensation from HTC today and aside from the signed boot loader, this device is impressive. I’ve been using it for a few hours now with zero issues. Its fast, responsive and feels great in your hand. They have added some nice features to Sense 3.0.

I can’t say that I would purchase the device because of the possible lack of development and support for custom roms. However, I will be using the Sensation as my primary device while my Vibrant sits on the back burner. I’m going to miss having MIUI on my Vibrant. I can only hope that MIUI will become possible on the Sensation.
