Are you a hardcore gamer? T-Mobile wants to give you a G2X and send you to E3

T-Mobile has announced a new contest for all you hardcore gamers out there. To celebrate the release of their first Tegra2 device, T-Mobile is looking to send two passionate gamers to E3 on June 7-9 in Los Angeles. E3 is the largest gaming convention in the world, and with the push toward mobile, casual gaming, Android games are likely to make quite a few appearances. You’ll also score a G2X for your efforts if you’re one of the lucky two winners.

So how do you enter? Head over to T-Mobile’s Battle for E3 facebook page. You’ll be asked to submit a short, 15-second video of yourself explaining why you want to go to E3. Be creative, as only those whose videos receive enough votes on Facebook will have their videos sent to the final judges.

More information can be found on the Facebook page. Entrants can start submitting videos on May 15th, with videos being accepted until May 24th. So if you’re interested in going to E3 and winning a G2X (all on T-Mobile’s dime), you might want to start planning and filming.

    Yet another Facebook contest… Sigh… I don’t have or want a Facebook account…

Even as someone that has a (barely used) Facebook account I still don’t ever do Facebook contests as I don’t feel like throwing that kind of crap up on my wall.

Agreed. You know what the funny part is? Facebook TOS frowns heavily upon contests (well, when used for Like mongering). Guess they don’t patrol it too hard.

In other news, the art they’ve had created for the campaign is pretty killer.

Whether you like Facebook or not is out of the question. At 600 million active users, it is EASILY the biggest landspace on the internet where you can reach millions of people. Hence, it’s a no brainer why any one wouldn’t want to make a page there and host contests. Twitter is another growing space so unless you want to win these awesome prices that are going to keep coming up in the future, I suggest you quit yer whining and join at least one of them.

I second not having a Facebook account nor twitter so hopefully they stop with contest through them. You guys and other blog sites should get those contest since you guys are the ones that get us excited about their products now. Can’t remember the last time I was interested in a device without you guys speculations and reviews.

Ya know instead of contest they should fix the reboot issues this phone has and get out 2.3.4 update not to mention a flagship phone with vanilla and dual core coming out with froyo. I know 2.3.3 is in on its way but still when it arrives still not the latest
    Just saying

Thanks for your feedback guys, this battle is already under way, but we’ll definitely consider other platforms in the future. We’re excited to be joining gamers and be one of the first mobile carriers to get to E3. With $2500, an LG G2x and an all-expense paid trip to E3 at stake, this battle is becoming pretty intense. Check it out if you get a chance at http://www.tinyurl.com/G2x-Battle4E3, there’s still time to submit a video too!
