HTC Holiday for AT&T gets detailed: dual-core CPU, 4.5-inch qHD screen, and Gingerbread

AT&T may have just released the Samsung Infuse 4G, but the carrier is not resting on its laurels. Ma Bell is already working with HTC on its next superphone — codenamed Holiday. According to a leaked system test, the device has all the right characteristics of a top-seller phone. For example:

  • Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread
  • 1.2 GHz Dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 CPU
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 4.5-inch display with a 540 x 960 resolution
  • 8MP back-facing camera
  • 1.3MP front-facing camera
  • AT&T’s 4G support

Looking at the Holidays specs, it seems like the Motorola Atrix 4G is about to face some fierce competition on its own backyard. With the recent news of side-loading support and the avalanche of high-end phones that’s coming, maybe AT&T is really getting serious about Android. Keep an eye out for the Holiday, which will certainly be one of the hottest devices available this summer/winter.
