Never mind that Sprint just released the HTC EVO 3D, the carrier has already moved on to bigger and better things. According to This Is My Next, two of those things are the Samsung Epic 2 and another Samsung Android device that could very well be the Galaxy S II.
Let’s start with the Samsung Epic 2. TIMN says it’ll be just a slightly better version of the Samsung Epic 4G. It’s packing a 4-inch screen, a 1.2 GHz single-core Hummingbird processor and an 8-megapixel camera. That’s not much different from the Epic 4G’s 1 GHz Hummingbird processor and 5-megapixel camera. But we have to keep in mind the Epic 2 will most likely not be launched as Sprint’s most advanced phone. Instead, the Samsung Epic 2 will probably fit somewhere between high-end devices like the EVO 3D and low-end ones like the LG Optimus S. And for that, these rumored specs are more than enough.
Then there’s Samsung’s other “full touch 4G” device. We have absolutely zero details about this phone right now, but there’s a huge chance this is Sprint’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S II. According to a rumor that popped up a couple of weeks ago, this phone is coming to Sprint in July as the Samsung Within. This fits perfectly with TIMN’s rumored Q3 launch for these devices.
That’s about it, folks. Keep an eye out for both of these devices, as we’ll surely be getting more details about them in the near future. Meanwhile, are any of you planning to buy either one of them? Or have you already sold your sold to HTC by buying the EVO 3D?
