Video: Tag Heuer Link Phone; the first luxurious, rugged device

This $6,700 device is the first to mix luxury with toughness in an Android smartphone. The device itself is fairly good, but it’s definitely not designed for the average tech nerd. Most of us can’t afford its price, so it’ll probably be directed towards rich/powerful/famous people. The popular watch maker, Tag Heuer, has decided to make this a device that looks nice and fancy, while enduring all the rough conditions you may put it through.

As Android fans, we like options, and Tag Heuer’s Link Phone has some! The device comes in three flavorful designs:  Steel, 18k rose gold (now you can say you have a gold phone!) and titanium. While these metals are great, Tag Heuer has also mixed in other fancy materials, including rubber, leather, alligator skin to match your boots and even diamonds. Check out the designs below!

Now that we’ve accessorized your wardrobe, let’s get down to business. The specs aren’t too bad compared to other devices out there, but they’re definitely not $6,700 good.

Tag Heuer Link Phone Specifications:

  • Android 2.2 Froyo
  • 5 MP camera with auto focus
  • 3.5-inch display (800×480)
  • 256 MB Internal Memory, with 8 GB micro SD card
  • 1400 mAh battery
  • Stereo bluetooth, AGPS, WiFi, WAPI
  • SIM card unlocked
  • Edge & HSUPA (3G)
  • 4 Band GSM/Tri Band WCDMA

Those who purchase this device probably won’t care too much about specs. What really matters about these phones is the design and the exclusivity. Check out the dramatic video below, and let us know if you’d be interested in one of these bad boys! I’d personally go with the stainless steel and black alligator skin, if I was rich and didn’t care about specs. What’s your pick?

a friend of mine has this Tag Heuer cell phone and has the problem, that the touch screen does not react …
So he wanted to reset the phone, but no idea how to restart it, unless I told him to wait until it rus out of battery/akku.

Has anybody an idea how he can restart or reset it, but the data should remain ;-)
