Android smartphones are becoming thinner and thinner every day. Though we might worry about the fragility that this thinness might entail, it seems like manufacturers are making nice “Rambo” devices here (at least in some ways). These two videos have been recently uploaded to the internet, and they prove just how tough these bad boys can be.
Samsung Galaxy S II – Unbreakable Battery[1]
Surely, many of you have been following details about the Samsung Galaxy S II very closely. It goes without saying that this device is one of the most anticipated this year. One of the most attractive features in this device is definitely its thinness (8.49 mm), but this also may come with certain downsides.
While its slim body makes the device very portable and good looking, it can give it a very fragile look/feel. In this device, the battery cover is remarkably thin, and it seems like it will break just by looking at it. This video proves that you are going to need much more than that – Much, much more. After watching this short video, we are convinced that it is actually near impossible to break that tiny back cover!
HTC Droid Incredible 2′s – “Cutting Edge”[2]
Now we know tough Android fans won’t be breaking their Samsung Galaxy S II’s battery cover anytime soon. Now, if you need a sharp weapon, forget about those old school knives. The HTC Droid Incredible 2‘s “cutting edge” is here! It seems we forgot to add its cutting capabilities to the features list during our hands on, but this could very well save your life one day! Most likely it will just cut your fingers a bit, though, so definitely be careful.
So, do we still feel the same way about these “fragile” devices?
