Leaked Best Buy promo confirms Droid Bionic is “coming soon”

The guys and gals over at This is my next just received the Best Buy promo below for the Droid Bionic, which for the most part confirms all the leaks and photos that have been dropping for the last few weeks.

Droid Bionic promo materials from Best Buy

As you can see the ad isn’t long on copy, but it does confirm the Bionic will feature the blessed union of 4G LTE and a dual-core processor, which has thus far eluded those of us on Verizon. Other features they tout are mirroring ability via HDMI, video chat with dual cameras and wireless file sharing with your computer. That last one seems a bit of a reach for “exciting” features. And since when does video chatting involve both cameras?

Regardless, the image is probably going to be the most exciting piece of the leak, as it confirms the leaked photos we’ve seen previously are indeed the final incarnation of the Droid Bionic. So you’ll probably want to go back and take an especially close look at these photos.

Last but not least, the ad proclaims the Droid Bionic is “coming soon.” Of course not knowing when this leaked material was actually supposed to see the light of day, that bit of information is of somewhat questionable value. We have a rumored launch date of August 4th, and it seems well within reason that such a high profile device should get some attention at least a couple weeks in advance. Assuming this ad is just getting some finishing touches, that timeline lines up pretty nicely.

We warned you in our review of the LG Revolution that the dual-core/4G LTE age was imminent on Verizon and all the portents are certainly favorable for an early August launch. Assuming you aren’t afraid that the marriage of 4G LTE to a dual-core processor will create some kind of battery devouring rift in space time, will you snap up the Bionic when it launches? Or are the polls right and you only have eyes for the Samsung Galaxy S II (which may be just weeks away itself)?
