Netflix app adds support for 16 new Android devices

Back in May when Netflix announced the release of its Android app, the company promised to quickly expand the list of supported devices. And it seems they’re staying true to that promise. Netflix has quietly rolled out support today for a whopping 16 new Android devices, bringing the total number of Netflix-ready Android devices to 24 (new ones in bold). These devices are:

  • Casio G’zOne Commando
  • DROID X by Motorola
  • DROID by Motorola
  • HTC Incredible
  • HTC Nexus One
  • HTC G2
  • LG Revolution
  • Samsung Nexus S
  • HTC DoubleShot
  • HTC Droid Incredible 2
  • HTC EVO 3D
  • HTC Thunderbolt
  • Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet
  • Motorola Atrix
  • Motorola Droid X2
  • Motorola Droid 2
  • Motorola DROID 3
  • Motorola DROID BIONIC
  • Samsung DROID Charge
  • Samsung EPIC 4G
  • Samsung Galaxy S
  • Samsung Galaxy S 4G
  • Samsung Fascinate
  • Samsung Nexus S 4G

If you’re the lucky owner of at least one of these 16 devices, head to the Android Market right now and download the Netflix app. Afterwards, come right back and tell us whether it’s working on your phone or not. We’re hearing reports of the app not working that well on some of these devices. However, I expect Netflix to roll out an update to its app in the near future that will fix most of these issues. Happy streaming!
