Quality mobile gaming just got a whole lot sweeter.  As part of Verizon’s Back to School promotion, the price of the SONY Ericsson XPERIA Play has been slashed to just $99.  While Verizon may be positioning the new price of the XPERIA Play as a limited time promotion, we have a feeling the phone may never reach its original $199 price point again.  With AT&T expected to launch the XPERIA Play later this year, Verizon’s probably gearing up for a competitive price.

Is the new $99 price tag on the SONY Ericsson XPERIA Play enticing enough for you to make the purchase? Or does SONY need to beef up their offerings in the PlayStation Suite before the XPERIA Play starts flying off store shelves?
