Many Sprint users are experiencing a text-messaging outage this afternoon, with users reporting receiving an error 2128 code when attempting to send a text message. Several users are apparently still able to receive messages, but the issue prevents users from sending messages to recipients. This outage appears to be widespread, as several users on Sprint’s Community forum are reporting issues from all across the U.S. today.
Twitter is also abuzz with users complaining of an outage. We sent out a tweet to our followers, and though most of you reported experiencing the outage, some of you appear to be unaffected. Sprint has indicated via twitter that it is aware of the issue and is working to bring a fix as quickly as possible.
We’ll be sure to update this post as we learn more. What say you, readers, are you experiencing this outage as well, or are you one of the lucky few seemingly unaffected?
