T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide launch set for July 27, pre-sales kick off July 20

According to some internal documents from T-Mobile, the myTouch 4G Slide should be available to customers on July 27.  Those of you willing to pre-order the handset without first taking it for a test drive at your local store should be able to do so starting July 20. While the HTC Status was given an official release date and price by AT&T, the dates for the myTouch 4G launch and pre-sale should be considered as rumors until T-Mobile gets their act together and sends out an official press release.

The myTouch 4G Slide may not be as sexy or cutting edge as the HTC Sensation, but the handset’s comparatively lower resolution WVGA display paired with Qualcomm’s dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor should allow it out outperform the HTC Sensation and even the new HTC EVO 3D that launched on Sprint a few weeks back.  And according to T-Mobile’s website, they’re offering the myTouch 4G right around the $200 mark for anyone renewing or signing up for a new two year contract.

Any of you willing to pre-order the myTouch 4G Slide on July 20 without feeling the phone out first?

Really, the screen’s resolution isn’t as good as the Sensation’s? I thought this phone was a Sensation with a keyboard (and that is why the screen size was smaller). How disappointing!

Do u not realize how big this phone would be if it had the same size screen as the sensation lol

I’m not bad about the screen size, I am disappointed by the resolution of this phone. I assumed it was going to have the same screen, except in size, as the Sensation. This is why one should never assume!

I would suggest skipping this phone. Unless the camera is really good, this has nothing over the Sensation and Evo 3D. Though build quality on both of those phones is questionable.

And why would say that? It has a better backlit cmos senser and has a keyboard

Can someone please tell me why this phone is such a big deal to T-Mobile? I don’t see it… the only good thing about this phone is the camera. There’s going to be way better phones than this in the near future. Hercules being one.

      Hercules has no keyboard.
      Hercules is also 800×480 resolution
Hercules also has a 1.2ghz dualcore
      Hercules has a larger screen
Hercules has a smaller camera lens

      Im not finding your point.

I don’t think going from 960×540 to 800×480 is that big of a deal especially since the screen is slightly smaller. So if your feeling burned about that then go buy an iphone.

    I have a few questions.

What graphics chip is being used?

At what resolution and frame rate does it transmit video over usb?

What type/brand of glass is the screen and camera made of?

What is the amount of ram/rom?

Does it come with the 3G or 4G wifi app?

Will it have unlocked bootloader or will it be hacked easily?

How much manual control will you get with the camera?
