The white version of the extremely popular Samsung Galaxy S II will go on sale in European stores on August 15th. A few online retailers have the phone listed for £499.99 (roughly $816), including 20% VAT. The white Samsung Galaxy S II features the same dual-core 1.2 GHz Samsung Orion processor, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1GB of RAM and 8 megapixel camera as the original.
The Samsung Galaxy S II has been one of the best selling phones in Europe this summer (even beating out the iPhone 4 in a few markets). We’re not sure having a new color option will help boost sales, but we know it certainly can’t hurt. We’re still waiting for Samsung to release the Galaxy S II here in the US market. But with all the recent activity, we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer.
So, if you had the choice between a white or black Samsung Galaxy S , which color would you choose?
