HTC Holiday specs and pictures surface after prototype is sold on Craigslist

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the HTC Holiday, but I guess good things come to those who wait.  An eagle-eyed Craigslist shopped recently picked up an unusual listing that turned out to be an unlocked and unbranded HTC Holiday, which should be launching on AT&T this fall.   The phone features a massive 4.5-inch qHD display, dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 8 MP and 1.3 MP cameras, 1 GB of RAM, all it’s running Android 2.3.4.

As you can tell from the pictures, the 4.5-inch screen is pretty damaged, but the current owner is taking offers from those interested in it.  Would any of you be willing to shell out some serious cash for a phone that hasn’t yet been announced by AT&T and HTC?

It’s certainly no coincidence that HTC is looking to saturate the market with dual-core phones right when Samsung’s Galaxy S II is about to hit the U.S. market.  Is the HTC Holiday and it’s 4.5-inch qHD display good enough to compete with Samsung’s dual-core phones?
