The hotly debated HTC Rhyme is now available from Verizon for $199 with a new two-year contract. While the price of the HTC Rhyme is high for a phone that only features a 1 GHz single-core processor, 3.7-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel camera and 768 MB RAM, the phone does include a pair of tangle-free headphones, a multifunctional docking station and a charm indicator.
It’s hard to say if Verizon’s and HTC’s strategy to create a niche handset for women with dedicated accessories will pay off, but we have a feeling the new marketing campaign will alienate more than a few people. Check out the new commercial below and let us know if it does a good job capturing the essence of the new HTC Rhyme. Does this ad appeal to the goddess within? Or is HTC just being creepy?
