In a little under 24 hours, Motorola will unveil their latest Android superphone in New York, the Verizon Droid RAZR. Normally, we’d be super excited to cover this launch event, but Motorola faces the unfortunate task of competing with Samsung and their Galaxy Nexus announcement just hours later.
Both devices will be available on Verizon Wireless around the same time and offer similar hardware specs and performance, but the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will have one major advantage: Android 4.0. Motorola might have a few surprises with the Droid RAZR, and I’m certain it will get Android 4.0 sometime next year. But I think the only people choosing this phone over the Samsung option will be the hardcore Motorola loyalists.
Check out the Motorola reveal site for the latest info on the Droid RAZR and let us know what you think. Will any Verizon customers go with this slightly-updated-Bionic? Or will you wait it out for Samsung and the first device with Ice Cream Sandwich?
Update: Kellen of Droid-life just posted an image that was abstracted from the teaser site. Check out the Droid RAZR in its full glory below.
