#HackTheNews results and winner revealed!

hack-the-news-final

A week ago, we asked you to #HackTheNews by changing the titles of our most recent articles. The results were posted to Twitter and to Facebook, and over 1k shares later, we’ve finally got a winner. Earl Rufus just scored himself a new Weber grill, a pack of grill accessories and a Tab 10.1 powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 2.

We monitored all the entries via Rowfeeder, and Earl’s tweet was randomly selected as the winner. Along with the random tweet, the staff here picked out a few honorable mentions, which we thought were worth posting here:

While the contest is over, we had so much fun that we’re going to leave the #HackTheNews page live a bit longer. I have a feeling the staff will be using it from time to time….

Also, on another contest related note, a few of you have continued to ask about our previous editor’s choice contest. We posted the winner about a week ago in the original contest announcement and Ray Frenden has even started pencils on the concept.

And while this concludes our Editor’s Choice giveaways, don’t be too sad. We’ve got a whole bunch more contests on the way. Keep an eye on @NVIDIATegra for updates and more chances to win.
