Video: Samsung Galaxy Nexus new commercial, how-to videos, and official tech specs from Google

We know many of you have gone from excitement and anxiety to just plain upset. You want that shiny Samsung Galaxy Nexus in your hands already. So do we, and the waiting just doesn’t seem to end. To make your day a bit brighter (and to remind you that the phone is still coming soon), Google has just revealed some new videos and official tech specs straight from its Galaxy Nexus Site and YouTube account.

One of the videos is a commercial, while the other 10 are how-to tutorials. Something important to note is that this commercial is far better than previous ones. In this commercial, you can see how the phone can be used in daily life and how it can help all sorts of personalities and lifestyles. You just feel much more connected with the idea of carrying this device around after watching the video.

Now, if you want to start learning your device and its new features before you can purchase it, Google’s slew of new tutorial videos will be great. Sure, it’s not as awesome as actually using a Galaxy Nexus, but it is something to ease the waiting. The tutorials are part of a “Getting to Know Your Galaxy Nexus” series, and they show you the basics and most important features. Topics include multi-tasking, getting started (US & International), creating a folder, camera features and a few others.

Hopefully this means the device will soon hit stores. Tech Specs and tutorial videos are posted below for your entertainment. Check them out and let us know how you’re handling all this waiting. Do these details make things any better?

this is getting to be ridiculous… I can’t believe we don’t even have a firm release date from VZW yet. WANT.

  • WarDrake

Hmm.. i was pissed off about the delays before, but as time has gone by, I’ve become somewhat immune to it now… i’m still getting the stupid phone when it comes out, but all the hype is gone now…

    Resignation has settled in.

Is this Verizon exclusive? If so, that’s some shit. Sprint or T-Mobile, please

I’m almost on the edge of switching to Magenta once the unlock version comes out. They were delayed I heard. If so, I will port that here and slap a SIM in it. I have a NS4G and I know it’ll get the update but I really want the new Nexus.

The girl in the first video is cute. sweet phone. cute girl. winning.

So, there’s the other mystery Nexus. In the third “Verizon” video, @ 0:14 seconds in, the model number clearly shows “SCH-i515″

The Galaxy Nexus i515 is the CDMA version, not the GSM version which is i9250. No mystery, just different carriers. Hope this helps.

If they had bump the camera to 8mp and 1.5ghz dual core along with micro sd slot…would be the greatest phone for 2011 to early 2012..would be cool if they had variant mods with those additions.

I agree about 8 megapixel camera for sure and a 2 megapixel camera on front instead of 1.3 megapixel. Also, I wish the phone was slightly smaller. 4.3 inches would be a lot nicer. The addition of microSD would be neat, but not a deal breaker.

Everything looks awesome! Except for the “3 color LED” part…I’d like to use LightLow but apparently that won’t be happening…too bad. At least most Motorola phones have more colors, so you guys are lucky…

I’m not a pretty face, a visionary, pass it along’er, meeter/greeter, wondering navigator, mad scientist or late night poet but I’m definitely a daylight dreamer when it comes to Android.
