LG’s Android lineup for MWC captured on video

lg-optimus-4x

Sometimes LG just can’t contain themselves. They regularly control leaks to the online media in order to hype up their devices and this week they pre-announced their entire Mobile World Congress lineup before the big show. Today we have the Italian blog Telefonino who captured most of the high-end devices on video.

The clips are not in English, but check them out if you want a preview of what LG will show off next week in Barcelona. We are particularly interested in the quad-core Optimus 4X, which could come to the US as the T-Mobile G4X. Let us know which one is your favorite in the comments below.

Looking at the first video… LG’s skin keeps looking MORE AND MORE like TouchWiz… look at the long press on the Home Screen that brings up the widget menu

    • jonathan3579

Yep, it’s just about a full ripoff of TouchWiz. I don’t think anyone expects LG to do anything innovative software-wise. Their hardware isn’t bad but their software is shit. END OF STORY!

    g4x looks good

Now only if something like that would come to verizon…

    That lockscreen!! WOW

    • mdcykkk9

The lockscreen looks great on ics. I did not like the custom launcher for ics but i guess this is minor and easy to change . I also like the Optimus Vu and find it that i was as big as i thought it would be … Lg hardware are not bad. I hope they sort out the problems with their firmwares …

The lockscreen was what I took most from the video too. Pretty clever.

First thing I noticed in the first video were the blacks. What kind of display technology are they using? I love sAMOLED true deep blacks.

    • sunrise

The blacks don’t look deep and dark enough for me in the first video.

    • Thomas

They are using TrueHD IPS LCD display…to me the black levels look horrible

    Love that unlock screen!!

Plus I have a hankerin’ suddenly to watch Opera and eat spaghetti

  • Wunako

i gotta say that lockscreen is pretty legit! hope when it comes out some one can port it over, but so far im liking what i see with the G4X, i mean ive heard alot about what happened with the G2X but i doubt they would drop the ball twice. only thing i would change is just onscreen software buttons instead of physical but thats minor

The G4x looks promising. Very fast and nice, and the lockscreen is looking awesome. But at the same time the Vu still looks ugly.

The only one i like is the 4xHD and that ui was actually pretty nice looking.like everyone said that sure was a fancy unlock animation!

  • jamal adam

The LG Optimus 4X HD is smooth and that lockscreen looks awesome.

  • droilfade

Certainly…..LG Optimus 4X! As mentioned…the lockscreen is Shweeeet! The LG Optimus 3X looks like a atrix-S2-iphone combo! Lol….

It doesn’t look buggy either! Look like day to day performance looks great.

    • thekaz

but.. but.. day to day performance can’t be great! Apple Fanboys have told us that all phones running Android will always be buggy forever!!

(sorry, just got worked up over a BGR post.. I don’t know why I even read that blog anymore)

  • BigCiX

Almost nothing changed about that optimus 3D

  • DroidPower

the G4x is definitely the best. so snappy

  • jamesj

The g4x looks super snappy but I absolutely hate the level of customization.
