DROID DOES site reveals DROID Incredible 4G LTE price

htc_droid_incredible_4g

For a fleeting moment, the DROID Incredible 4G LTE made an appearance on the DROID DOES promotional site — revealing Verizon’s plan to sell the phone for $299.99. Since the launch of the HTC Thunderbolt, Verizon has launched nearly a half dozen phones for $299.99, but we don’t think the HTC DROID Incredible 4G should be one of them.

When it comes to specs, the DROID Incredible 4G LTE is expected to feature a 4-inch qHD display, 1.2 GHz processor, 8 megapixel camera with ImageSense technology, Android 4.0, HTC Sense 4.0, NFC, and LTE connectivity. While it may sound like a great upgrade over last year’s DROID Incredible 2, the new device is inferior to AT&T’s HTC One X, T-Mobile’s HTC One S and Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G LTE which are all selling for $199.99.

Verizon has not made any official announcements about the DROID Incredible 4G, so it could be that the price that is was shown on the site was simply a place holder which will be corrected once pricing and availability details are announced. Verizon does have the best 4G LTE network, but are you willing to pay a $100 premium for the DROID Incredible 4G LTE when it is clearly inferior to HTC’s other devices?

Any word if the processor is the s4?

I think we’re all expecting it to be the S4 but it did not say from anything I could see.

$300 is just ridiculous compared to $200 for the EVO 4g LTE and One X. Hopefully, Verizon will get the message.

FYI, that post had links to the Razr Maxx page, which is $299. This very well could be a copy/paste error. I’m expecting it to be $199 when it comes out. I could be wrong, however.

This is just more proof that Verizon enjoys raping their customers.

I hope it is just an error and this comes in at $199 or less.

Plus their new $30 upgrade fee. Lame, lame, lame…..

Wow, its only got a 4 inch screen? thats going to suck even worse because the “menu button” for all non ics apps are going to take up even more screen..

And its supposedly going to be 300? no thanks.. ill keep my nexus.

Verizon phones consistently cost $100 more than the competition and now they charge $30 extra to upgrade no matter whether it’s an early upgraded or not. That means in the end a high end phone on Verizon will cost $400-$500 on contract. They are rapidly reaching the point where it makes no sense to buy with their “subsidized” pricing as you will almost be paying the same cost

Every carrier charges the fee, verizon is actually the cheapest( in regards to the fee, sprint and at&t charge 35-36 dollars) But I agree that verizon does over price their phones.

Verizon should be boycotted, they need to know who wears the pants, it’s not them, it’s their customers. They don’t even offer great service really. They have the slowest 3G service (in comparison to Tmobile and AT&T), and they don’t have an unlimited Data plan. I hope they lose half their customers.

love the phone, hate the price… bring it down to at least $199

Even at $199 it doesn’t really compare very well to the new EVO. IMO it should go for sub $150.

Exactly my point. If the One X and EVO 4G LTE are $199, the One S should be $179 and the DROID Incredible 4G LTE should be $149.

This is one of the reasons why Verizon suck, they are expensive a hell, but they do have good service thought.

I prefer to wait for HTC EVO 4G LTE. It is a much better phone and a better price. I’d rather wait for my new EVO!

    $299, that sh*t cray!!

  • snowbdr89

I have been with vzw for about ten years now and love the service but this is lame, this phone in my opinion really isn’t much different or better then the rezound but 300 + an upgrade fee is totally lame!! Yes others charge it as well but their phones are usually 100 less… I’m tired of getting f**ked by vzw!!

I will be sorely disappointed if this phone costs more than $199. I feel like it should be $149, but I will be shocked if Verizon does us any favors. I really want the phone, but I can tell you this–I won’t pay a dollar over $200 (with the exception of the new fee).
