Gameloft’s N.O.V.A. 3 comes to the Google Play Store

Gameloft promised they would bring the highly-anticipated N.O.V.A. 3 to Android in May, and they delivered on the last day of the month. If you want to play the best first-person shooter on Android, then head over to the Google Play Store and give Gameloft $6.99.

Android fans will be pleased to hear that most high-end devices are supported. That includes the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, ASUS Transformer Prime, Droid RAZR, Nexus S, Galaxy Tab 10.1, HTC EVO 4G LTE, and more. Surprisingly, the HTC One X (Tegra 3 and Snapdragon S4 versions) is not currently supported, but I expect Gameloft will be adding it soon.

Highlights of NOVA 3 include:

  • An epic storyline: Humanity finally returns to Earth after years of exile! Fight in 10 immersive levels across the galaxy, from a war-torn Earth to a frozen Volterite city.
  • Multiple weapons and powers: Run, shoot, drive vehicles, and pilot a mech to defeat hordes of enemies.
  • Join 12-player battles in 6 multiplayer modes (Capture the Point, Free-for-All, Capture the Flag, etc.) on 6 different maps.
  • For the first time, multiple allies can jump inside the same vehicle and spread destruction on the battlefield.
  • Discover the new FPS benchmark for graphics and gameplay (real-time shadow & lights, particle system, ragdoll physics, etc.)

If your device supports this game and you are a fan of shooters, I’d highly recommend buying the game right now. Check out all the trailer videos below to see what you are missing out on.

I usually don’t play these type of games on my phone, but I have this on my ipad and it’s great. Might also buy it for my One X.

Such a Halo rip off. Can Gameloft ever come up with an original idea for once?

    • otakonx

It reminds more of Crysis 2.

not sure why people down vote this, cause it’s definitely true (open your eyes..). It’s easier for them to make games that emulate other successful games (Halo, COD, GTA, GoW, etc etc etc) than for them to try making a successful original game of their own.

I can understand why the HTC One X Tegra model isn’t supported. My HOX has trouble with Sonic 4: Ep 2, GTAIII, and Riptide even lags. I’ve actually contacted each developer, HTC and even nVidia. They all reply with the same thing,”We’re looking into it”. So here’s hoping Gameloft is optimizing NOVA 3 for the HOX!

There are a few threads on XDA about game lag on the HOX but most notable is the fix thread if you’re rooted:

i’m pretty sure none of the HTC One series is supported considering my One S has no support for this. (which we can assume the One X for ATT has the same issue)

sonic 4 ep2 runs great on my One X, apart from heat, 38min playing time brought up the overheat led (red/green blink), i was playing via wii remote so never noticed.

picked up the device and it was hot hot hot.

I was wondering what that red/green blink ment! Hmm yeah mine runs horribly. I was reading the reviews on the play store and pretty much anyone who reviewed it said it runs bad on their HOX. Glad you’re not having any issue though!

If the Prime is supported, why isn’t the TF300?

  • Nathan D.

Yes! My prime is supported, now I can play it during school.

Been playing a couple hours now and while the game play is better, the graphics is on the Meh side unfortunately.

Time to start ruining my life in countless hours of this game! I can already tell this is going to be bad for my productivity

I’m still on the first level, but I can already tell you this game is great. I’m so glad they still optimized it for the Xperia Play, considering the device’s age. The gameplay is awesome with the gamepad, and it just feels so much smoother than NOVA 2. I’m also happy you can now aim down the sights with every gun and you can now run. Still haven’t tried Multiplayer though, I’ll report on that later. I am very impressed by how these Gameloft games evolve every year, you can really tell they put a ton of work into these games. I’m looking forward to the seeing what Asphalt 7 brings to the table.

Should your product sustains that game and you certainly are a enthusiast associated with fps, I’d recommend purchasing the game today. Look at each of the movie trailer video tutorials below to view that which you are usually losing out on.
