Samsung opens sign up page for the latest updates about the US version of Galaxy S III

galaxy-s-iii-kids

Want to be the first to find out when Samsung announces details on the US versions of the Samsung Galaxy S III? They just opened up a registration page for the device and promised customers will receive the latest updates about their highly anticipated device in exchange for your email address.

Some will probably notice there is a field for carrier preference that lists AT&T, C Spire, Metro PCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular and Verizon, but we wouldn’t read too much into that. However, Samsung did say the device will come to 296 mobile operators in 145 countries, so we wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually landed on all those.

Could the Galaxy S III come to all these US carriers? Maybe...

It keeps asking me for a phone number. But I see no where to enter one.

I signed up (T-Mobile) and it didn’t ask me for a number, just my name, my carrier preference, and my email address.

Also signed up for T-Mobile! Hopefully we see the gs3 in the states soon, I can’t wait. But I may just have to spring for the international version, because I’d really like my gs3 to have the exynos four quad in it!

You and me both bro, I want to go back to Verizon if they start selling non-watered down versions of the Galaxy S 3 they will over take the big carriers.

      • Fulaman

I meant to say I want to go back to MetroPCS and leave Verizon if Metro starts selling non-watered down versions of the Galaxy S 3.

Wait for this guy, or just go ahead and grab a One X?

I would say Wait until October and keep what you currently have. I bet by Oct – December there will be even better phones than the Galaxy S 3 out.

Perhaps, but from what I’ve been reading (granted, I’m not reading every single article posted in the internet) the only CPU that is coming out Q2/Q4 is the Tegra3+ LTE or whatever it’s called. It’s my understanding that the 5k series Exynos will be for tablets this year. So, yes, there will be new phones, but it looks like same cpu’s.

Or I can keep reading this site. You guys will let me know before the official email gets sent out by Samsung. Or at least that has been my experience in the past. I hear about things here first, before “official” notifications.

I think its possible ATT may still get the Exynos HSPA version from Europe this year. After all they brought the GS II Euro version almost in tact last Fall and then threw customers under the bus with the release of a slower LTE Skyrocket less than a month later.

I’d expect the same kind of practice this year. And ATT employees will pout and saw the LTE GS III is faster than the HSPA GS III even though the HSPA version clearly has more cores. Such blind sheep employees.
